As fast as the authorities can move graffiti from
around Bhopal it reappears. This graffiti, calling for Warren
Anderson to be hung, is outside a cinema in the centre of Bhopal.
Anderson was the CEO of Union Carbide at the time of the
disaster in 1984. |

A woman's survivor's group (the BGPMUS) has held
an open air meeting every week for the last twelve years. They used
to get several thousand women twice a week but now they only manage
a hundred or so once a week. |

from its position on the outskirts of JP Nagar. In what Abdul Jabar
saw as a political coup the state government had allowed the statue
to be move inside the factory walls. However, a group from JP Nagar,
the slum that bore the worst of the disaster, insisted that the
statue was theirs by right and a new one should be made for the
factory site. |
